Company Mission

BoxCamp Storage Company strives to be the best solution to summer storage, specializing in both affordability and excellent customer service. We also take pride in hiring students for all key roles within the company, from customer service to higher-level logistics.

Background

In 2014, Keith Yoder, the founder of BoxCamp, created a company called Bruin Bins in his freshman dorm room to make summer storage easier and more affordable for students. In our second year at UCLA, Bruin Bins became BoxCamp Storage Company, with bigger dreams to expand to different schools. In 2016, BoxCamp hit its stride, developing an affordable and scalable model that could be reproduced at different universities. BoxCamp maintains its vision as a company for students, by students, taking the inherent stress out of move-out/storage. We love hiring students for key roles within the company, promoting student entrepreneurship and providing BoxCamp with a unique relationship to the students we serve.

Company Mission

Business Model

Students are forced to move-out of their dorms and apartments during finals week, meaning the stress of lugging everything home is compounded on top of the stress felt during finals. Rather than taking all your belongings home, or being forced to find an off-site storage location, use BoxCamp.

Any student who needs to store small items like dorm/apartment decorations, clothes, small appliances, fans, lamps, books, toiletries, bedding, etc. will save money and time using our service.

BoxCamp provides free boxes for our customers, and sells boxes at a low cost to all other students. Our boxes are bigger than any of our competitors’ boxes, and even have handles, providing extra value to the students we serve.

Our flat rates all summer, peer-provided customer service, scheduling based on academic calendars, and convenient locations right on campus ensure that BoxCamp provides a high level of service while still staying affordable for all students to use.
